Wonderful experience!! We spent 1/2 day with Captain Jerry catching bluefish..what a great experience! We caught our limit and several more which were thrown back. Captain J made everything easy and went out of his way to help us have a great experience. I actually have a bit of a mobility challenge as I walk with canes — he was extremely accommodating. Captain J has years of experience on the water and it pays off as he knows how to find the fish and how to get them on your hook! We were beginners and he taught everything we needed to know. He filleted the fish on the boat for us and we left with more then enough fish for ourselves and a few friends. We ate our catch for dinner- it was delicious! So much fun— prices are very reasonable! Boat is very safe and clean. I can’t wait to do it again!
Epic day on the water! Just spent a day with Jerry fishing for bluefish. We caught 6 bluefish and had a epic day all around. One person in our group had mobility issues and the captain went out of his way to accommodate her needs and ensure that she enjoyed her day on the water. Highly recommend! We will defiantly be back.

Great time with Captain Austin If you are looking for an authentic, no nonsense fishing experience on the Cape, Captain Austin is your guy. While you will not be sailing in the newest/fanciest boat, you will be greeted by an experienced Captain who really knows the local waters well and is fully dedicated to helping you having the best experience. Despite being arguably a slow day, we still managed to catch a 31” striped bass and 4 blue fish. Can’t wait to visit again and bring a coupe of friends along.

Great fishing trip for the family My family and I went on a fishing trip with Jerry recently. We had a great time and caught many fish! We kept 2. Jerry is kind and knowledgeable. We all highly recommend him!
Highly recommend the Clinton “D”! We had a great time on the Clinton “D”! We felt safe and the captain really knew the waters. It seemed that we had an edge over all the other charters on the bay. There was almost nonstop action fishing for Striped Bass and we were able to catch 3 big enough to keep. The captain did a great job to filet them for us as well. There are two seats on the boat but we recommend a party of 3-5. The Stripers put up a tiring fight. You’ll need a break in between catches.
Tight Lines All Day We were referred to Specialty Charters by a local fisherman who has fished the area for many years. We booked a weekday trip and left the dock at 7am. By 815am Capt Jerre had us hooked up with our first of 14 Stripers, the biggest measured over 42 inches! My sons reeled in Stripers until their arms hurt. Capt Jerre has a large network of fisherman friends who he speaks with daily and his local fishing knowledge is what separates him from the rest. Specialty Charters provides a very professional fishing charter on a safe and sea worthy boat. Oh yeah, and Jerre can talk hockey too! Highly recommended.
Fishing Action! A fantastic afternoon of fishing on a great boat with a professional and personable captain. Captain Jerry took us over the fish and we couldn’t reel them in fast enough - 4 keepers in less than 3 hours and 17 fish total! All four in our party put the line out, jigged, and reeled in the fish, unlike on some charters who do it all except the reeling. So much fun and true fishing action for a great value! We are thinking about Specialty Charters for tuna fishing in the fall and will definitely be back for striped bass in 2021!
Amazing!! It was such a fun time with my family. we caught a total of 9 fish. (biggest being 29inches, 3 keepers) Cpt Jerry knew exactly what he was doing. He was very helpful to us all throughout the day.
Highly recommend! We had a great time on our fishing charter with Captain Jerre. Not only was he able to accommodate our tight schedule when weather changed our initial plans, but he was a pleasure to fish with! My husband was able to catch one of his "bucket list fish"- the striped bass amongst others (despite what appeared to be a slower day for surrounding charters). This is our third deep sea fishing charter and we found Capt Jerre to be very friendly and professional. We will definitely fish with him next time we return to Cape Cod!

Three thumbs up! My wife, 13 yo son, and I had a great 4 hr fishing trip today with Captain Jerre Austin! Our lack of experience was not a problem, and we really enjoyed the ride around Cape Cod Bay and catching three striped bass (although no keepers) and two blue fish. He was very professional and friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy his work. We would definitely try to go out with him again if we’re back in the Wellfleet area another summer!
"Great" day on the water! It was a spur of the moment idea to charter a boat. Saw the number on a flier for the Clinton "D" with Captain Austin and we went out that afternoon. We caught plenty of fish but the highlight of the day was when a great white breached while grabbing our striper on the line. It was quite shocking. The shark was on line for maybe 15 seconds with the fish in its mouth when the line went slack. We reeled it in and to our surprise the fish was intact, other then a good size gash on the end of it. It will be a memory my son will have for the rest of his life. He was the one who was reeling it in.The Captain was great, personable and professional. The boat was clean and prepared. I would certainly charter with Captain Austin again.
Epic Bass Fishing! My son and I joined Captain Jerre for our second fishing trip with him, pulling in over 20 stripers with two keepers and a ‘boatload’ of father/son memories to last another 12 months until we are back again next year! 😉 I can’t say enough about Captain Jerre - he knows the Bay like the back of his hand and always kept us on the fish with a smile and an encouraging word to my son as we reeled in fish after fish. Probably the most fun I have had in a while. Jerre was the best and the boat was awesome ! Everyone on the boat caught fish. I caught 3 and the other 3 guys on the boat caught 4 each , he knew exactly where to take you to make sure you had the best day ever. No better way to get a group of friends together for a little summer reunion. Caught about 15 lbs of fish that left everyone on the boat with something great to take home. We absolutely will be going back to fish with Jerre any chance we get. Highly recommended
Epic fishing experience We have many fond memories of fishing in Wellfleet harbor but it had been years since we'd gone. Our group of four had a wonderful experience. Captain Jerry is a great skipper. Very friendly, low key and extremely knowledgeable. He really enjoys being on the water. We had a great conversation, learned a lot about fishing on the Cape and caught some incredible fish. Biggest ever for us. Even Jerry was excited! (We didn't upload the photo of him with the fish). A great way to spend the day.
Amazing experience Captain jerry was an amazing captain very knowledgeable and helpful with great equipment as well as extremely considerate especially for the elderly and the boat was perfect for 4-5. His manner was the most enjoyable of the trip, generally laid back and easy going however when fish were on he was serious and super helpful. He definitely knows the waters and where to find fish, we caught a massive 46” fish. Great trip would go a little later in the season though like mid-late July when theirs more fish variety. But would 100% recommend to anyone.
Fantastic trip that was easy and fun Our party of five went out on a 5 hour charter, and it was incredible. The beginning was a little slow but then we ended up catching 14 bass, of which we had to toss 8 back. I ended the day by hauling in a 46 inch bass, easily surpassing all fish caught this season. Caption Jerre is friendly, an expert on fishing in the area, and a very interesting person. I would do this again without skipping a beat.
Awesome Fishing We have gone out with Captain Jerry several times over the past few years and each time we have a blast! He is knowledgable, fun and engaging making sure everybody knows what to do when you get a fish on. This last trip we caught so many stripers that we decided to fish for flounder. He even filleted them for us before returning to the dock! I am sure we will be back for many more trips with Captain Jerry!
Great Fishing experience! Jerry is great - he took us to all the right locations. I ended up landing a 34 inch striper pretty soon after arriving at our first fishing spot. Ended up catching quite a few stripers and flounders. He was a great guide and was super relaxed about the timeline, even allowing us to keep on fishing past our time slot because he was "enjoying it with us." Very affordable and great service. Would recommend (but not for groups larger than 4, and not for small children).
fantastic striper trip Jerry was very personable and accomadating. he put onto the stripers within about 40 minutes of leaving the dock. Everyone caught fish and after we had our limit of stripers we fished for flounder. Great trip, you can't go wrong with Jerry , he is first rate!
Love to Get Out on Cape Cod Bay This was my second time going out with Captain Jerre. We left in the a.m. from Wellfleet Harbor. Again, a great experience! His boat is clean, orderly, and highly organized. He is patient with beginners like me, yet also respected by experienced fishermen. If there are fish swimming, he will find them. Jerre is focused. Also friendly. He has some wonderful stories to relate about tuna trips and shark interactions. I caught a beautiful 36” striped bass which he elegantly cleaned and filleted. We had a delicious fish dinner, following the recipe he recommended. Best of all, flying along in a boat on the salty bay on a sunny day can’t be beat.
Captain Jerry is the man We Chartered a trip with Captain Jerry and it was our first time doing this kind of fishing. Captain Jerry was a very patient and a helpful captain. We were a bit late in the season so we weren't really expecting to catch much however we caught fish all day long and it was a great experience I would definitely highly recommend these guys. Had the best time on captain jerre fishing boat! He was very patient as I was new to fishing. He was very professional and great company. My group caught over 10 fish and were able to keep two for dinner. The boat was awesome. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a afternoon of fishing for any experience level.

We caught fish when others weren't! Captain Jerre knows where to go, what to do and, most importantly, how to catch fish. My wife, father and son went out on a beautiful afternoon and caught six stripers (kept three) all while hearing the other boats bemoan on the radio that they weren't having any luck 🙂 The boat was comfortable, fast and well-equipped. Everyone felt safe and we came away from the experience feeling terrific. Would definitely recommend.

We caught dinner! My family of three adult sons, husband, and I had a great time fishing with Captain Jerre! He is so knowledgable about the Cape waters and where to catch fish. On the day we were out, we caught 2 striped bass that were big enough to keep, enough for all of us to have for dinner that night and some leftovers for the next day. We also caught many smaller bass that were just under the legal limit so we threw them back. It was still fun to reel them in, though, and experience the excitement of having a "FISH ON" the line. Before we pulled back into Wellfleet Harbor, Captain Jerre filleted the fish for us so they were ready cook. I've never had such fresh fish. I'd fish with Specialty Charters and Captain Jerre again!
Great fishing experience My son and I went out with captain Jerre Austin to tackle the stripped bass. It was one of our great moments during our stay in Cape Cod.The boat was spacious for two but can easily hold four passengers. Captain Jerre made us very comfortable from the start. A couple of advices on how to jig the road and we caught our first fish within minutes. We went home with our quota after releasing a couple. A great moment for my son and I in the safe hands of Captain Jerre.
Amazing First Fishing Trip with Captain Jerre I called Captain Jerre for a first Charter Fishing Trip for my 10 year old son and me. He recommended a 5 hour charter mid-day to align with the changing high-tide and then scheduled us for two days later. He was friendly, enthusiastic and safety conscious, letting us know that we would reschedule if the weather was too windy and even called the next day to ask to shift our departure 30 minutes and re-confirm.When we got to the dock the prior charter was departing with comments of ‘Captain Jerre is Really nice and a Great Captain!’ and ‘We caught 20 Stripers!’ 👍 Our experience was just as awesome, with 7 fish caught and a 31” keeper Striped Bass for my son’s first big game fish! He will never forget and so happy that Cap’n Jerre was part of the memory. Great guy and excellent Captain - we’ll be back!!

Great last-minute trip A friend and I decided to arrange a last-minute trip for striped bass while vacationing on the Cape. Called Capt. Jerre and he had availability, so we book a four-hour afternoon (3-7 pm) trip. The trip was outstanding--we boated close to a dozen legal bass up to 35-36" snap jigging with wire line and trolling hoochie rigs ob lead-core. Great fishing and Jerre worked hard for us, changing things up constantly. However, it's not really fair to judge a captain on the fishing alone, which varies day-to-day for reasons out of his control. Jerre also impressed us as professional, courteous and very knowledgeable about the local waters. His boat, the Clinton "D", was also well maintained and clean, which tells me something positive about the individual running it. I've chartered enough to know its not always the guy with the flashiest advertising or website that is the best fisherman. Recommend Capt. Jerre and the Clinton "D" highly.
5 hour tour caught limit in 2 1/2....catch and release is fun captain jerre taught my nephews(12,16,&20)how to fish with wire reels.Even though we had 2 snarls cap never lost his cool!!!!!now my nephews can use wire anywhere.....but it will be on the "Clinton D"next year!!!!!!We had multiple double hookups,caught are limit quickly,stayed away from the 30 or more boats filled with morons and caught fish til wer headed back to port!!!!one word for anyone with teens....cap'n Jerre has patience!!!!!!! also want to mention because we gave 2 week notice Jerre was able to reschedule due to high wind on our trip!!!!best day 4 sure!!!!

Good for the soul fishing! I have fished with Capt Austin on 3 occasions and have never been disappointed. His years of experience show by how quickly we we're on the fish. This year I talked my wife and daughter into coming along with my son and I; they had a great experience with landing over 25 fish in the 4 hours on the water. Even had to throw back several 30+ inch fish because we already had our limit. He may not have the biggest boat, but it's the best I have been on at the Cape and wouldn't dare fishing with anyone else!
Outstanding day on the water with Captian Jerre You would be hard pressed to find a better fishing charter and captain Jerre Austin's Specialty Charters. My wife and I booked a half day trip out of Wellfleet Harbor on September 16. Within minutes of hitting the fishing grounds (a very pleasant 40 minute trip), we had our first striper on board. We could overhear other boats on the radio complaining about a lack of fish as we continued to pull fish on board. Captain Jerry is knowledgeable, professional, friendly and most importantly, patient. His boat, the Clinton "D" is well equipped and comfortable. When we hit our limit of keepers, we did some trawling for blues and seal watching before we headed back to the harbor. We left with some great bass fillets and some even better memories. This was our first trip on the Clinton "D" but not our last.
Family of four fishing trip Back for our second trip with Jerre and he delivered bigger than the first time! 3 stripers to keep with 4 more thrown back. Then he switched locations, gear and my son landed a 25 pound Blue Fish just for kicks.Thanks again Jerre! We will see you again.
We got Stripers Captain Jerry Austin was the perfect leader of our fishing charter. My brother in law, his son, and my daughter and I had an absolute blast on his boat. The water was calm and no one on other charters looked to be reeling in any fish, but Captain Jerry had us jigging and landing our daily limit within the 5 hour tour we scheduled. We were doing so well fishing that Captain Jerry kept us out longer than we had paid and I'm pretty sure he had us much fun as we had. I've chartered for years and would highly recommend Captain Jerry Austin and Specialty Charters for family charter or some serious fishing with veteran anglers. You will not be disappointed.

Captain Austin moved us until we were able to find fish, gave us terrific directions on how to jig, and filleted our keepers before we returned to the harbor. The most fun we had in a week in Cape Cod! Captain J. Austin was phenomenal! He put us in fish and stayed on fish for the duration of our 5 hour trip! He provided a fun and safe trip, and even cleaned the fish for us so we could grill some up later at our cottage - it was amazing! Needless to say we did not need to go to the gym this day - all or our arms had a great workout!

Fishing Trip Our trip was fantastic. Jerre was a very experienced captain and knew exactly where to go to get the fish. My daughter, two sons and myself were inexperienced and Jerre showed us exactly what to do. Everyone caught multiple fish more than 20 in total. Jerre filleted the fish on the trip home and gave us a recipe to cook them. I would highly recommend Specialty Charters you get more than you expect.
Private Charter for ONE Totally Awesome! My husband D wanted so badly to get out fishing before returning to Atlanta, and I really wanted fresh bluefish for dinner (but would take anything). He went out with Captain Jerre Austin on Wednesday (9/9) and WOW - had an absolute blast. Not only did they catch enough to have to call the fish market to see how many they could handle, but Capt Austin recognized quickly that D was pretty experienced at fishing, and a bit with boats, so together they had a hauling success. D was glowing (and smelling a bit) for days. THANKS!
A perfect day We set out from Wellfleet harbor on the Clinton D , Jerre Austins, charter boat a week ago. There were five on this trip. The three women were on their first fishing trip. I was a bit nervous for them but the Captain immediately set out to welcome them and make them comfortable on the boat. A beautiful ride to the fishing grounds led to an amazing day as we proceeded to fill the ice box with fish. Everyone left with a smile and we can't wait to go on our next trip.
Great family Charter! We are a family of 4 with 2 boys ages 12 and 14. We went out on a Friday afternoon and met captain Jerry at the Wellfleet pier for a 5 hour tour. Jerry is a friendly and knowledgeable Captain. We had a great time and caught 3 blues of the shores of Truro. No stripers this time of the year where the water is too warm.We'll be back in the Spring for Stripers!!

5 Hour Charter Trip Jerree Austin is a great captain! We went out with 2 adults, along with a 6 and 8 year old. We are all novice fishermen. Jerree not only found the fish but also set us up so all we had to do was reel 'em in. He was ready to do it all or let us experience as much as we wanted and could handle. We kept 4 HUGE Bluefish and released at least 6 more as we had caught more than we needed to keep . All but one were huge! On our way back into the harbor, Jerree cleaned, filleted and gave us recipes for the fish, all while letting the kids drive the boat. We just had to put zip lock bags on ice. The trip was easy, convenient and a ton of fun. Dinner that night was amazing thanks to Jerree. This is now something we will doing whenever we are lucky enough to be vacationing in Wellfleet.
Great fishing trip for novices We had a really fun experience with my boys 10 and 12 on a three hour fishing cruise out of Wellfleet Harbor. Jerre was a great guide. We caught 5 bluefish and he completely prepared all the fish for cooking. Delish.
This Was 5 Hours of Sheer Boating Bliss - Great Boat-Great Captain-Great Views-Great Fish! Even if you aren't keen on fishing, this is an EXCEPTIONAL boating experience. The bay-side coast of Cape Cod is beautiful (a real must see) and this is the boat to do it on. The Clinton "D" is comfortably equipped- it is about 25ft long and has a small cabin and wheel tower. I found the cabin quite comfy and took a bit of a nap while my companions were comfortably accommodated on the deck catching lots of fish. The captain is extremely experienced, personable and very good at what he does. To top it off you get a down home Boston/Cape Cod accent that you are sure to enjoy! You won't find him listed on the internet - word of mouth does his advertising! Where most fishing charters are a bit expensive and about 4 hours, Captain Jerre gives you a full 5 hours at a very reasonable price. Take it from a Cape Codder - This Cape Cod Captain is the one to send your summer visitors to!
